About Us

We are Katherine and Kieth Rubery, and live in Featherstone, West Yorkshire.  We are situated close to the cities of Wakefield and Leeds, and the towns Pontefract and Castleford.

Cats have been a large part of our lives since 1989, when our first cat SHERLOCK took up residence.  Since then many cats have found their way to us. Visit our cat pages, and in loving memory page to learn more about our past and  present cats.

I first became interested in the Norwegian Forest Cat breed in 1990, when Kieth bought me a cat breed book, and my passion for the breed began.  It was 12 years later when I met my first wegie in the flesh at the Supreme Cat Show.  Unfortunately, the following month we discovered that our beloved Sherlock had Fiv, along with Mr Tidds, and took the decision to let them go to Rainbow Bridge to protect not only our other cats, but also cats who lived in the area.  This left a very big hole, and in May 2003, Noynarock Romeo (Solmund) came to live with us.

Linda warned us that they were addictive, and although the words 'only the one' passed Kieth's lips, here were are with another 5! I would like to thank Linda Grant, of Noynarock Norwegians, for entrusting us with Solmund and our other 5 Norwegians.

I never really intended to show Solmund more than once, but he managed to get placed in all of his classes, and then I was bit by the show bug! Visit our cats pages to see how they have done in the show ring.

Unfortunately, Solmund was killed on a road aged 19 months, he will never be forgotten, and adorns the header on our webpages.

Our decision to breed these fantastic cats, was taken after discussion and support from Linda, and so in 2005, Noynarock Servana (Savannah) joined us, and Noynarock Evita followed in 2006.  We had our first litter from Savannah in June 2007, with 6 kittens.  We only intend to have 1 or 2 litters each year.

I am a member of  The International Cat Association (TICA), NaturallyTICA (founder member), Norwegian Forest Cat Club & Viking Cat Club
